Buying Short Term (Swing Trading)
In technical analysis, Swing Trading is a strategy where you hold a financial asset (like a stock, currency, or crypto) for several days to several weeks to profit from an expected price move—often called a "swing." Stocks are held for 2 to 10 days on average (can stretch to weeks). This is nominally higher risk than long term investing.

Best Recent Increases
The Abeulo System ranks the gains by stocks in particular sectors such as IT by zeroing them every 7 days or so to indicate which stocks are showing the best recent gains. This identifies particular stocks for further research into possible purchase.
Accelerating Increases
We can also monitor any stocks whose gains are accelerating with a view to buying more.
Days 1 & 2 Close above PVLow Highs
We are particularly interested in stocks which show strong gains above
the High of a recent Pivot Low.
Day 1 Close after a PVL should be above the PVL Hi.
Day 2 Close should be above Day 1 Close

Data#3 Buyers vs Sellers 7 January
A surplus of Buyers over Sellers is a good indicator of the level of current demand for a stock. It is also promising if the demand for units is higher.
233 buyers for 99,197 units
185 sellers for 94,690 units

Intra Day Prices Now (Commsec)
Knowledge of the intra day price trend now is essential if considering a Buy on Day 2 after a Pivot Low. It can be seen here that Data 3 is still trending strongly after recent gains.

Buy vs Sell Indicators
Strong Buy indicators following Sell indicators are indicative of market demand. Commsec also provides numbers of Buyers and Sellers in real time for all stocks. Buyers outnumbering Sellers is a good indicator of demand for a stock (see above).
